Our first FX pedal/stomp box is a boost/EQ pedal with three controls:

1. Mix - controls the mix of the EQ'd signal with the "dry" signal
2. Sweep - a parametric control used to select and emphasize a band of frequencies
3. Gain - determines the amount of signal that goes on to drive the amplifier

The GO Box is used to "dial in" and emphasize a range of frequencies. It can be set to drive an amp harder in the "sweet spot" while minimizing the unpleasant characteristics of low and high frequency distortion. Consequently, the GO Box is great for soloing when you want to cut through the mix with more gain, distortion, and compression but do not want to "muddy" the sound.
